Andy is a 1983 graduate of NC State University where he was a walk-on who became an all-American linebacker for the Wolfpack. Andy went on to play professional football in the both the USFL and NFL. Andy’s hard work and never-quit positive attitude helped him to achieve all-pro honors as special teams leading tackler and short yardage specialist for the Miami Dolphins. Andy went on to coach strength and conditioning and defense for over 20 years at the high school and college levels.

For the last 2 years Andy has been a member of the CrossFit Headquarters Training Team and spends his weekends teaching Level 1 Seminars! Andy loves the chance to positively affect people’s lives through the delivery of CrossFit.

“I have been a part of many strength and conditioning programs over the years, but none have produced the results that CrossFit has in both me and my clients. It is by far the best program for any goals you have established for yourself.”

Corianne grew up in Maynard, Massachusetts. She graduated from UNC Charlotte's Exercise Science program in 2015. She started CrossFit in 2011 the summer before she left for college. She then received her CrossFit Level 1 in 2013 and in 2017 earned her CrossFit Level 2. She has coached at Crossfit Reach, CrossFit Voltage and RCFC! She took on the role as Manager of Administration and Customer Relations here at Reebok CrossFit Charlotte Uptown in 2017.

"CrossFit totally changed my veiw of “working out”. At last I wasn’t running on a treadmill slaving away to burn calories, I was actually working toward performance goals. When I first started I couldn’t do 1 push-up and my main goal was to be able to do a pull-up. Now I can do both at ease! CrossFit has been just as much as a mental change as it has a physical change.

With my Exercise Science degree I knew I wanted to pursue a career with CrossFit has my focus. So far I have been a coach at CrossFit Reach, CrossFit Voltage and here at RCFC. I have been so lucky to call the owners of these gyms my mentors. I absolutely love this gym and the people who are a part of it. My goal is to keep helping people reach their goals through fitness and have fun at the same time!"

"My life journey has been an adventure. Ever since I was a little kid, I have been in a gym atmosphere. I grew up in a small town of North Carolina going to my uncles gym for athletic training. From that point I fell in love with fitness. My love for fitness and sports carried over into college where I played football and baseball. I played one year at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC and finished out my undergrad at Western Carolina University. From there I began to fall in love with the sport of fitness more and more. Crossfit became a routine, a lifestyle. I took my talents in baseball overseas where I played in the professional league in Bulgaria. When I was there I continued crossfit and actually coaching our baseball team in crossfit. When I got back to the States, I got my Crossfit Level 1 and started my coaching career at Crossfit Charlotte then moved to RCFC to coach the morning classes. Coaching is one of my favorite things because it gives me a chance to see people move better firsthand. I love making people feel like they are number 1, I love making people smile and having them have the best hour of their day with me. This is my dream to coach people who want to get better! I have now received my Crossfit Level 2 and Crossfit kids and I am excited to see myself further in my coaching career in Crossfit!"

"I am from NC, have an educational background in medicine, and work as an EMT and Certified Surgical Technologist. I have been a part of the coaching staff at RCFC for the last 3 years.

I started CrossFit in 2012, unknowingly, with a personal trainer. I had switched work locations, no longer had the motivation of my workout buddies and didn’t know what to do with myself in the gym. I was very lucky to get the person trainer that I did, as she so happened to be a CrossFit coach. After some time, I decided I wanted to become a coach and help spread the greatness. I earned my Level I Training Certificate in 2013 and have since then obtained my Level II, among others, while coaching at local boxes, to include Reebok CrossFit Uptown.

I love CrossFit for the community it creates and because anyone and everyone can benefit from it- both physically and mentally. Teaching proper technique and training functional movement enables our members to be healthy and strong throughout their lives. My favorite part of being a coach is seeing an athlete accomplish something they have been working hard for in the gym and then seeing it positively affect them in other facets of their lives, whether it is physical or mental."
